Muscatel Douro Requeva White Fortified Wine

A white port has just arrived in Israel, crafted from Muscatel Gallego Branco grapes, a local variety from the Douro region known for its floral aroma and notes of honey and citrus. The wine was aged for about two years in oak barrels, giving it depth, an amber hue, and delicate touches of caramel and vanilla.

This is a sweet fortified wine reaching nineteen percent alcohol, strengthened with high quality brandy in a traditional process that enhances its richness and texture. Despite its intensity, it remains balanced, clean, and refreshing, with pleasant sweetness and gentle acidity that supports its structure.

The flavors are precise and expressive: apricot, orange peel, honey, and floral notes, with a smooth and long finish. Best served chilled, around ten to twelve degrees, and especially suitable as an elegant opener for Shabbat and holiday meals.
